Beer Battered Fish


1 ½ pound cod fish

1 cup flour

1 ½ cup beer ( lager)

1 egg

½ tablespoon paprika

2 tablespoon EPIS

¼ teaspoon salt

Canola oil for frying



Rinse, pat dry, and cut fish in 3-4 in. pieces.

Mix fish and EPIS. Marinate for 30 minutes or for as long as a day.

In a bowl, whisk egg.

Mix flour, paprika, salt. Add Egg, mix well and gradually add beer (room temperature)

Heat oil in a deep-frying pot to 375 degrees.

Dip fish in the batter and carefully put in frying oil one at a time. Cook until golden brown.

Remove and transfer on a cooling rack.

*Avoid putting the fried fish on paper towel or newspaper. They will steam.*
